18 months check up

Sophia had her 18 month check up today. She is 29 lbs. and 33 long. The doctor said that she is an average 2 year old. I asked about her legs. Shown below. They made an appointment with another doctor. We go on Wednesday, another $250 appointment. UGH I guess I need to think of my daughter first. I love her!!

Four Months Old

My little boys are 4 months old. They are doing so well. Estin is about 13-14 pounds. He has a big head. You can tell that he looks just like his sisters did. He is still very laid back. He is doing a lot of laughing and talking. He is a ladies man. Keelen is 10 pounds. I am so glad. He still very skinny and long. I didn't know how much I like bigger babies until I had him. Bigger babies you don't have to worry about them. Keelen is a snuggler. He loves to be held. I really love my boys. They are now both doing GREAT!!

I love it!!

I have recently gotten an IPod. I love it. One of the reasons I got it is I like to listen to the Podcasts. A podcast is like a radio show. As a mom I can't always get a quiet time. As one of the podcast that I love is One Year Daily Audio Bible. They go thru the bible in a year. I LOVE IT!! One of the other ones that I listen to is Family Life Today with Dennis Rainey. It really encourages me. I have to listen to them everyday or I feel like I'm missing something. You don't have to have a IPod to listen to then so go to ITunes and listen to them!!

Weight Check

This morning I got up a little early to take Keelen in to see if he had gained any weight. Matt didn't have to go in til 10:30 so I had a little time to go to the doctor. Well..... he gained a pound and 2 oz. He is now 10 lbs. I am so happy. God has been good!! He is becoming so much happier!!

Science Central

Today we went to Science Central. It was really fun. When we got there I had to feed the boys. I like feeding them in the van when I am out. We had a great time there. The boys did great. Sophia loves to play with the water table that was there. She likes to lick the water. YUCK!! Saphrin just loved to walk around. She does a get job at staying close by. Griffin loves to go off on his on. When I was there I got to talk homeschooling and life in general. It was very nice. I love talk so I got my talking in for the day :). After Science Central we went grocery shopping. Everyone loves looking at the boys. They think that are so cute. It was just a great day! I love being with my family!

To the Library

It has been a great outside, so we decided to go to the library. You ask how? It was kind of hard. Griffin pushed Estin in the single stroller, I push Sophia and Keelen in the double stroller and Saphrin walked. They were really good. Saphrin is getting her listen ears. We got some book and a couple movies. It was really nice just to get out with the kids.

She is learning

It is amazing to see what your kids do. A couple days ago Estin was sitting in the bumbo (yes it is purple. I didn't know I would ever have a boy). He had spit up on himself. Sophia was trying to put his paci in his mouth and saw the spit up. She went and got a towel and cleaned it off him. I thought that it was so cute that she would go thru that process. She is growing up.

One Pound!!

On Wednesday my mom, Keelen, and I went to the doctor to check to see if he had gained any weight. He did!! He gained a pound. He is now 8 lbs. 14 oz. and 21 inches long. He is still so thin. He goes back in 4 weeks. The doctor still wants me to supplement with 2-4 oz of formula and wake him up 1 time at night. He is doing great. They both are trying to sit up. They are too small to do that. Aren't they? They are doing great.

Saphrin is growing up

When you see your kids it makes you happy most of the time. There are times when you can just tell that they are growing up. As I have said Saphrin is in Gymnastics and swimming. The first couple time in gymnastics I have had to pull her out with about 5-10 minutes left. This last week I didn't have to take her out. It was a nice feeling. she is getting better at swimming too. She didn't know what to do the first session but now she is improving. She is also talking better too. You can tell that she needs to go to school. She is not using the right tense of the verbs, but she doesn't know that and nor does she probably care. She is doesn't better at following directions. If I ask her to get something. She can get it for me. Mommy's little helper :)

What a week!!

I have been so busy I have not been able to write. Laundry takes so long now. I feel like I stop and the next day I start up again, but it has been a good week.

Busy day

Today I had to set my alarm to get up. I never set my alarm unless I have something to do. Today one of my friends was going to come pick us up to go to ABC Preschool. Then you are home all the time it is nice to get out. It was alot though. The girls need to get dressed, I have to feed the boys and change them, now that Keelen requires a bottle too that is an extra 30 to the feeding time, and put everyone a carseat or coat on. It is alot of work. I'm exhausted. I just remind myself that I can't take this years or couple months back so LIVE with it!! Tonight I also am going to go out with one of my friends from school. We talk about once a month. We have not been able to get together because her kids have been sick and I have no van to get there, plus 7 kids and 2 adults in a small house it not good. We are going out to eat just the two of us. I'm so excited. I don't go out to eat very often. If I do it is drive thru. How healthy is that? I love my husband. I glad that he is going to watch the kids, all 5 of them.

Daddy's little helper

Matt watched the kids while I took Griffin to swim class tonight. We have been getting Cinnamon Toast Crunch for my mom and the girls love it. Some of the cereal dumped on the floor and Matt got out the dustbuster to clean in up. Well it wouldn't pick it up, so Matt put the dustbuster down to get the sweeper and matt turned around and found this... Sophia wanted to do it. She is such a helper. If she sees you cleaning up she will help. She is a cutie!!

Sophia- Daddy's Little Helper

Trying to dress yourself

Today we were trying to clean up the outside. Daddy took Saphrin and Griffin out to help. they came back in and Saphrin wanted to go out again because we had hamburgers for supper. She tried to do it herself. She did a great job. Look and see...

Do you see that the hood is at her butt?
Shoes are on the wrong feet.
She did a GREAT JOB!!

Weeky Check Ups

Well it looks like we are going to go in for weekly check ups with Keelen. Keelen went to the doctor today. He was 7 pounds and 12 ounces, 21 inches long and head was 14 1/2 cm. I knew right then that we would be changing our feeding routine. The doctor came in and he said that everything looked good BUT he just doesn't want to grow. He said that I was doing great. I thought that I was going to cry. I really love nursing my kids. It is a very fulfilling time with my kids. Anyone can give a bottle... You are the one who can nurse. He said that I can still nurse and then I have to give a 2-4 oz. bottle. He is slowly coming around. I hope that it doesn't make him lazy that he doesn't want to nurse. If so I have to look at it I had 3 good months. I guess I will check in next week to see if he has gained any weight.
