3 little boys

Yesterday one of my friend asked if I could watch my little one because the daycare was close for the week. I agree. I was very scared at first. I didn't know how it would all work out. It ended up being super easy. I don't know if the twins have helped be be able to handle more than one at a time, but it really wasn't that hard. We play. I got a couple loads of laundry done, made cookies for my dad and got supper on. I told Matt the day before not to expect dinner. I didn't know how it would go. I feel alittle lost today not have 3 babies :)

Keelen (7 months) and the other baby (4 1/2 months)- they are about the same size

7 Months

Well we have reached 7 months. I am amazed that I am still alive. Having twins is not the easiest thing in the world. Now it is getting MUCH better. They are just wonderful babies. I couldn't have asked for better on. I don't really mind what is going on with Keelen because it could be much worst. Griffin really like having his brothers. When we came home from my parents house after the twins were born they went right into the crib in the boys room (where Griffin sleeps). When he got home, Matt and I were talking and saying that maybe we should put the boys in with us so they don't wake up Griffin. Griffin said no. I like them being in with me! I thought that was so cute!! Saphrin is really become a big girl with the boys. She will put in their paci's. Sophia thinks that they are her live doll. Sunday we were getting ready to feed the boys. I had made a bottle and had to go to the potty. I came back down and Sophia had taken it and gave the bottle to Estin. He was just going to town on it. We told Sophia that it wasn't Estin bottle it was Keelen's. She got scared and let go of the bottle. Estin started screaming. He really like that bottle. Estin wouldn't nurse for the next 5 minutes because he was so mad!!

Keelen on top and Estin on the bottom
Keelen- 13 lbs 8 oz He loves to roll all over the place!!

Keelen

Estin 20 lbs 12 oz. He loves his jumperoo. He love to babble too.

Estin
They are just doing wonderful. Keelen goes to the doctor on Monday. He has been going ever month to keep track of where he is. He is just going to be a small person. He also goes to the Cardiologist on Tuesday. Estin is doing great. He is our chuck monker!!!!

Recipe time

I give all the credit to Hungry Girl. It is a recipe that I found and really like. The book is by Lisa Lillien. They have some really good recipes that are look in fat and calories. Here is one that my hubby and I like:

Dreamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

One 18.3- ounce box Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies Traditional chewy Brownie Mix
2 cups canned pure pumpkin (I just used a can with is 15 oz)
2 tablespoons reduced-fat peanut butter, at room temperature

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine pumpkin with the brownie mix in a large bowl and stir until smooth (batter will be very thick, but don't add anything else!)

Spray a square baking pan (9x9 works best) with nonstick spray and pour in the mixture. Spoon peanut butter on top and use a knife to swirl it around the top of the batter. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes. (the batter will remain very thick and fudgy, and it should look undercooked.) Allow to cool.

Cover pan with foil and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Cut into 36 squares.

One thing that I did was switch things around. I used a 50% less fat cake mix in place of the brownie mix and then use a pie filling ( a 9x9 pan doesn't work well for this.)

If you cut it into the recommend 36 peices here is the stats per brownie: 65 calories, 1g fat, 57 sodium, 14g carbs, 1g fiber, 9g sugar, 1g protein.

It is very delicious!! You kids will like it to. It is a great way not to have them eat candy bar.

Keelen

He went to his GI specialist appointment yesterday. He weighed 13 lbs. 8 oz. On that scale he had gained 8 oz in a month. He is still SO small!! The doctor ask how he is doing. He is still spitting up a little. Not as much as he use to but he still does. The doctor said that he probably have an allergy to milk and/or soy and reflux. That boy. He just has alot of problems, but loving and fun to be around. I hear so many stories of babies that they has come too early or that they have serious problems that they doctors have no cure to. I am very thankful and I have 5 healthy kids. All of them came into the world in different manners but are home with no major problems!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

Garden Tea Party

For the past 3 year my mom and I have been going to the Garden Tea Party at the lake. I really like taking my girls out to do this. It is so nice to get dressed up and do things. I know the girls like it. They take your picture and then you have a little to eat. The food is pretty good. The girls also colored and made bracklets. We didn't stay very long because a 21 month old can't sit for very long. We had a great time anyway!!

Estin finally taking his nap. Here lately he would rather stay up and watch everyone else then sleep.
My mom and Keelen
Saphrin coloring
Sophia- doesn't she look just like her sister. She is getting bigger.

We are going to stay cool this summer

We went and got a swimming pool on Tuesday at a near by city. Our city didn't have the good deal that they did. It is nice a place to cool off. Saphrin really likes it. She asked to go out everyday. I will not take her out there unless the boys are sleeping. I can't take care of 4 kids 3 and under in the pool. That is too dangerous.

I tried to get Keelen stroking Estin's head. It was so cute. They were out in the pack and play while we were in the pool.
We are filling up the pool
Matt and Sophia- she likes her picture taken
Saphrin- She LOVES the pool!!

Ain't that cute

Griffin was with us Sunday-Wednesday. He loves and miss the kids we they are gone. You can tell because he picks up the boys when they are only wimpering. He LOVES his brothers and sisters. I thought this was cute!!

Keelen
Griffin is going to be a good daddy when he is OLDER!!!

Busy week

This week has been a busy week. I don't know if I just over scheduled myself or what. As I said Saturday we went over to Matt's parents house for Father's Day. Sunday we went to my parents house after church. Monday was Matt's day off. I did laundry all day. I still don't have it all the way done. Tuesday was another day off for Matt and we went to a city near by to get a swimming pool. Wednesday was playgroup at the church and then we went to a garden tea party down at our local park. Thursday Keelen had an appointment at the GI specialist, and this is Friday... I did have plans to go talk about VBS but I don't know if that will happen. I like being busy but I like being house in a routine. I'm glad that I don't do this every week!!

Happy Fathers Day

I know that it is not to late to say this. Happy Father's Day!! Saturday the kids and I were with Matt's day and Sunday we were with my day. We had a good time. The girls LOVE their grandparents. They always want to be with them. When I was a kid I remember the same thing. I LOVE my grandparents. I didn't get a picture with Matt and the kids but I did get a picture of my dad and the kids.

My dad is holding Saphrin and Sophia and the boys are in their carseats

Want to go on a boat ride

Whenever the girl get quiet I go look for them. I found them in the kitchen in some boxes. I asked them what they were doing. Saphrin said we are in our boats. What an imagination!! Here are the girls in their boats :)

Saphrin- haven't got dressed for the day yet
Sophia
Where are you going girls? Can I come along?

Family VBS

This week we decided to go to a Family VBS close by. I knew about the VBS because I went there for MOPS. I thought that it would be fun for the kids and it was. Griffin LOVED the concept of being able to go where ever you would like. He spent most of his time in bingo or the pop walk. Saphrin did alot of painting. I think that she will be our crafty one. Sophia LOVED to run all over th place. The verse for the week was Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you. It is just what we needed. We are trying to deal with the meanness that Saphrin has. It is nice to have a verse to go with it. The theme was My Family Rocks.

We had a great time. Now we are looking forward to our VBS which is coming up in July!!

This and that with the boys

They are little boys in the past couple days. They want to TRY to pick up everything. They are learning. Rolling everywhere. I love my BOYS!!

Holding hands. I think that it is so cute!
Estin trying to play with Keelen's face.
I should have put this onies on the earlier because it doesn't really fit Estin.
I listen to Family Life and this week they are taking about Molly. She died a year ago this week. She had something wrong with her brain. If you would want to listen to a 5 day radio program go to http://www.familylife.com/site/c.dnJHKLNnFoG/b.3204549/k.B7F9/Radio.htm. It is worth your while. I was crying all last night. I wanted to listen to the next one and then the next. I didn't get to bed til well after midnight. It really makes me be thankful everyday that I have 5 healthy kids, 3 of them being in the NICU. God has shown us thru.

I've got a CAR!!

On Tuesday we went and looks at a car. We (or I) have thinking that it would be nice to have a second car again. We had been looking and Matt was not comfortable buying one that cost alot of money. We have been eyeing this one for about a week and decided to call on it. Matt looked at it and bought it on the spot. It is a Saturn. It also is stick shift. We have never drove a stick shift. It is going to be Matt's car of course so he learned from his dad.

Here is the new car:

Sick little boy :(

Today Keelen has been sleeping most of the day. I thought that it was odd because he is normally pretty good. I began to feel him at the last feeding and realized that he was hot. He has/had a 101.1 temp. Poor little boy :( I really wanted to take pictures of them today. (There was nothing special happening) I had gotten them 12m outfits for Easter. Well if you have seen my boys in the past week or two one of them is not in 12m stuff. Estin is in 9-12m outfits and Keelen is in 0-6m stuff. I put 0-3m onies on him and 3-6m outfits on him. He is just going to be a tiny baby. SO I had to take back the outfits that I got them and get new ones, so it is what I got.

This is Keelen trying to sleep and his wonderful mommy will not let him. I need to take pictures.
Estin- He has 12 months on
Estin and Keelen
Keelen- He has 6 months on
I can't believe the size difference in there clothes. I am glad that I can dress them the same. The outfit came in a 2 packet (Carters). I LOVE Carters stuff. The other outfit I think that I am going to have their 6 month pictures take in. They are very nice.

Three and a Half

My little first born daughter is 3 1/2 today. I know you don't usually celebrate half birthdays but it is so nice to talk about my little girl who I love. She is becoming a little cutie!! The past couple nights she has had trouble going to bed. She was coming down the stair and we said if you don't get back up stair you will be disciplined. She continued to come down the stairs so Matt told her to come over and she would be a spanken for her discipline. She came over and got a spanken and then said can I have some more discipline? Oh my goodness. I couldn't stop laughing. It was too funny. He then took her to the corner. She was there for about 5 minutes or so. Matt and I were finishing up feeding the boys to put to bed and told her that she could get out of time out and we would go up stairs. She began to spin around in the living room. Matt asked her if she was being silly. She said yes. Matt proceeded to tell me that a couple weeks ago when we were out at Matt's parents church she was being silly and Matt told her that this was not the place to be silly, she proceeded to ask if she could go home so she could be silly there. Where does this kid come up with this stuff? It is too funny!! She is really growing up. I have gotten many comments on how after the twins where born that she has been acting better in Sunday School and children's church. I'm so happy that she is growing out of the terrible two. She is not good by any means BUT getting better at listening and controlling her temper. Just like her mommy. It is a process!!

Week in Review

Thank goodness after Matt working alot the past couple weeks. He got Sunday and Monday off!! I was so thankful. As a family we really needed it. We went to the Library and got some books. I'm going to attempt to read some books to my daughter for the Library's summer reading program. I also got her an activity for the computer. We can't put it in our regular computer so we have to put into the laptop. I was surprised how well she did with the touch pad. She wants to now get on the laptop and play her game. Picture show below:

Saphrin
As a tell everyone who ask we are pretty dull and boring. We don't do much but onw the highlights in the week is the Miss Kathy can to see us. She comes and does educational things with the kids. I really like it because it gives me ways that I can help the kids. They like it too. Finally yesterday we went to Matt's parents house for supper. His grandma and Aunt Jan were there. We like seeing them because we don't get to see them that often. We had some grilled turkey (never heard to it grilled... it was wonderful!!), pasta salad and I made mac and cheese. It was very nice to get out of the house. I hardly every go out one because of not having a car and two because I would have to drag around 4 kids (right now because Griffin is at his mom's). We are thinking about getting a new used car. Hopefully I will be showing you a picture by the end of next week!!

I don't want to go!!

Sophia is getting old enough to go into time out so we have been putting her their. I think that it is funny because she didn't want to be on the time out mat. She did whatever she could not to get on it. She is a funny little girl. I probably should not have taken pictures of it but I thought it was cute too.

I wonder if she doesn't like the feel of the mat?
I don't think so daddy!!
What are you doing?

I'm the first!!

Keelen was the first to roll from his back to his tummy. He has hard a 6 months of life. I am glad to see that he finally did something first. He is so thin that he didn't have much to roll over :) He did this on Saturday. Congratulations Keelen!!

A new baby

As I told you in the other post that one of my dearest friends had a baby a week ago today. She had a little boy. On Friday we went over to visit the little one and to have supper with them. We got deli pizzas from Walmart. Matt and I LOVE them. I also got chips, ice cream and pop. We had fun. It was just nice to get out and go some where. We didn't leave til late. SORRY Reghan. Well here are some pictures that I took of him.
